How Can a Battery Sensor Be Serviced and Reinstalled on Jeep Wrangler?

Under the vehicle battery, the battery temperature sensor is attached to a mounting hole on the battery tray and it can be serviced by first removing the battery. Remove the battery then pull the sensor pigtail harness off the engine wire harness and pry it straight up out of the battery tray mounting hole. Battery Sensor for installation feed the pigtail harness through the hole in the top of the battery tray and press the sensor into the top of the battery tray. Last, reinstall the battery and reconnect the pigtail harness.

Start by taking out the battery from below, disconnecting the sensor harness plug near the engine and then prying the sensor straight up from its hole in the battery tray. First, aim the pigtail harness rope through the hole in the upper part of the battery tray.
