    Prior to removing the accumulator, disconnect the negative cable from the battery and release the refrigerant to the refrigerant system. Unplug the connector at the low pressure cycling clutch switch, loosen the screw securing the band around the accumulator on the dash and pull apart the suction line at the outlet tube of the accumulator while installing plugs or taping over all opened refrigerant line fittings. After that, unhook the accumulator inlet tube from the refrigerant line connected to the evaporator and plug or seal the openings with tape. Move the accumulator and retaining band forward until the screw in the band is clear of the hole in the support bracket and then lift the accumulator from its place in the car. Slide a screw through the retaining band and into the slotted hole on the support bracket on the dash panel for installation, remove the tape or plugs from the evaporator outlet and accumulator inlet refrigerant line fittings and fit the accumulator inlet tube to the evaporator outlet tube. Use a 5 Nm (45 in. lbs.) torque wrench to tighten the retaining band screw, remove all the tape or plugs blocking the refrigerant line fittings and fit the suction line with the accumulator outlet tube own refrigerant line coupler. Attach the wire harness connector to the low pressure cycling clutch switch, hook the battery negatively, exhaust the refrigerant and fill the system with a new refrigerant. If the accumulator is changed, put 120 milliliters (4 fluid ounces) of the recommended refrigerant oil in the system after changing it.

After that, detach the refrigerant line between the accumulator and evaporator and once more close the openings using plugs or tape. Draw the accumulator and retainer forward until the band's screw gets past the hole in the support bracket, then remove the accumulator. To install, slide the screw through the band and into the slotted hole on the dash panel bracket, remove the adhesive covers or plugs from the refrigerant line openings on the accumulator inlet and evaporator outlet tubes and match the coupler from the accumulator inlet tube with the end of the evaporator outlet tube. Screw the accumulator retaining band to 5 Nm (45 in. lbs.), afterward dismantling the taping or plugs from both the refrigerant line fittings on the suction line and on the accumulator outlet tube and assembling the suction line to the coupler of the accumulator outlet tube. Plug the connector from the wire harness into the low pressure cycling clutch switch and attach the battery negative cable back. Empty out the refrigerant system and replace it following the instructions given. If you replace the accumulator, add 120 milliliters (4 fluid ounces) of the proper refrigerant oil to the refrigerant system.
