How to Service a Blower Motor on Jeep Cherokee?

Reclaim the refrigerant from the vehicle's AC system if you intend to service the blower motor. While working on the battery, separate the negative cable from the rest. Disconnect the accumulator from its inlet and loosen the screw that retains the accumulator by hand so the blow motor can be accessed. Take out the blower motor wire harness connector from the terminal and loosen the three screws holding the blower motor assembly to the heater-A/C housing. Turn and tilt the blower motor unit so it comes free from the heater-A/C housing. To install, put the blower motor and the wheel assembly into the heater-A/C housing and then screw down the three screws to 2.2 Nm (20 in. lbs.). Attach the blower motor wire harness to the connector, bring the accumulator inlet tube into line with the evaporator outlet tube and tighten the screw holding the accumulator in its bracket. Restore the negative battery cable, empty the refrigerant system if it's needed and recharge it as appropriate.
