First, use a jack and raise and support the vehicle and then put a hydraulic jack under the axle for support. Let the wheel and tire assemblies go, note and sever the front drive shaft link to the axle and undo the bolts securing the lower suspension arms to the axle. After that, detach the stabilizer bar link,
Shock Absorber, track bar from the body rail and drag link from the
Pitman Arm from the axle. Move the axle down as you take the spring out of the upper mount, then disconnect and remove the coil spring clip and spring and finish by pulling the jounce bumper from its position. First, replace the jounce bumper in its mount, set the coil spring on top of the axle pad, install the spring clip and bolt and tighten the bolt to 21 Nm (16 ft. lbs.). Lift the axle just like before and once the spring sits in the upper mount, attach the stabilizer bar links and shock absorbers to the axle bracket, finishing by fastening the track bar to the body rail bracket. Place the lower arms for the suspension onto the axle, making sure the bolts and nuts are only slightly tightened, then fit the front propeller shaft onto the axle. Replace the wheels and tires, drop the supports and lower the vehicle. After that, use a torque wrench to tighten the lower suspension arms nuts to 116 Nm (85 ft. lbs.).
