Following this, unfasten the nut and washer from the steering gear shaft, label the pitman shaft and pitman arm so you know where to place them when you install them and take the pitman arm from the steering gear with Puller C-4150-A. The next step is to fit the pitman arm onto the gear shaft, then add the washer and screw the nut on till you reach 251 Nm (185 ft. lbs.). Next, add the drag link ball stud onto the pitman arm, screw in the nut to 74 Nm (55 ft. lbs.) and complete by putting in a new cotter pin.
