The first step to repairing the cruise control servo is to detach the negative
Battery Cable at the battery. After that, unplug the vacuum line and electrical connector connected to the servo and then disconnect the servo cable coming from the
Throttle Body. Remove the nuts that secure the servo sleeve to the bracket, remove the speed control sleeve and servo together and pull them away to find and remove the cable retaining clip. Notice how the servo was positioned on the bracket while you take it out. Attach the servo to its bracket and put the cable connector hole over the servo pin hole, after that, attach the plastic clip to lock them together. Attach the servo mounting studs to the mounting bracket holes, adding the mounting nuts and tightening them to 8.5 Nm (75 in. lbs.). Link back the vacuum hose and electrical cable from the servo and attach the servo cable to the throttle body. Afterward, join the negative battery cable to the battery and before starting the engine, use the accelerator pedal to ensure it isn't stuck.
