First, take out the battery negative cable and set the vehicle on ramps. Release the
Exhaust Pipe from the engine exhaust manifold, lower the vehicle and take out fasteners 2 - 5 to remove the
Intake Manifold. After that, unscrew fasteners 1, 6 and 7 to take off the engine exhaust manifold. Make sure to clean the intake manifold, engine exhaust and the parts where the cylinder head joins, to keep foreign substances from entering it. Secure a new intake manifold gasket above the alignment studs on the cylinder head and place the engine exhaust manifold assembly so it straddles the end studs and spacer. Bolt No. 1 to 41 Nm (30 ft. lbs.), then install the intake manifold and bolt bolts 2 - 5 to 31 Nm (23 ft. lbs.). Attach new engine exhaust manifold spacers over the mounting studs in the cylinder head and tighten nuts 6 and 7 until they reach 23 Nm (17 ft. lbs.) torque. Attach all the parts to the intake manifold, raise the vehicle, then bolt on the exhaust pipe to the engine exhaust manifold, tightening the screws to 31 Nm (23 ft. lbs.). Then reconnect the battery negative cable and start the vehicle to check for leaks.
