Make sure to disconnect your battery's negative terminal before moving on to servicing your wiper motor. For the front, unhook the
Wiper Arms from the pivots and undo the eight screws keeping the cowl plenum cover in place on top of the cowl. To get to the washer plumbing, remove the cowl plenum cover/grille panel and screen, taking care not to harm the paint as you lift. Pull the supply hose from the nozzle tee fitting hooked to the windshield washer and the washer nozzle hose on the passenger side and disconnect the cowl plenum cover and grille panel. Stand behind the car to reach through the cowl plenum and disconnect the wiper motor wire harness plug, then open and support the hood. After that, remove the nuts securing the studs of the mounting bracket and reinforcement near the dash and next, remove the four screws connecting the wiper module to the cowl plenum panel at the wiper pivot area. Remove the wiper module and the cowl plenum together and unscrew the wiper module mounting screws to 6 Nm (50 in. lbs.). Remove the negative lead from the battery, then pull the rear wiper arm away from the wiper motor's socket. From the outside of the liftgate, take out the nut on the rear wiper motor's output shaft, pull back the bezel and rubber gasket around the shaft and disconnect the washer supply hose from the inside bezel nipple. Take the bezel and rubber gasket off the end of the motor and pull off the trim panel of the liftgate. Get the rear wiper motor wire harness connector off and then unfasten the two screws at the rear wiper motor's bracket on the inside of the liftgate. Following that, remove the rear wiper motor along with its mounting bracket from the liftgate as one unit. Store them apart, reverse the installation sequence and fasten down the mounting bracket screws to 5 Nm (45 in. lbs.) and output shaft nut to 3 Nm (27 in. lbs.).
