  For repairs at the front Parking Assist Distance Sensor, start by fitting the O-ring spacer, with the wide side at the sensor housing, the narrow side at the exterior sensor surface and by engaging the ring all around the sensor membrane's projection. After that, place the sensor into the back bracket of the front bumper until you hear and feel the latches snap over the top and bottom of the sensor, ensuring the membrane is flush against the outer bumper surface and the sensor is evenly centered in the openings without touching the O-rings. Then, plug the wire harness connector back onto the sensor connector receptacle, found at the back of the fascia, before fitting the bumper fascia to the car's front. Now, reattach the cable on the battery negative terminal to the rest of the wiring.

  Before handling the Parking Assist Distance Sensor at the rear, first take out and isolate the battery negative cable. The two sensors at the back of your car can be accessed for service with the rear bumper installed, but the other two must be taken out when you remove the bumper. Following the removal of the fascia, take out the wire harness connector from the park assist sensor connector receptacle. Gently pull apart the wide open portion and the small opening to free the sensor from the bracket. After that, remove the O-ring spacer so it is no longer on the outer edge of the sensor membrane protrusion. Service replacements are available for the park assist sensors and sensor spacers, but the sensor brackets are bonded to the rear bumper facia.
