Advance the pedal to the top of its range inside the car and disconnect the plastic clip that holds the top end of the cable from the pedal arm. Then, unhook the cable core wire at the pedal arm and take out the metal clip keeping the cable in place on the dash panel. Get rid of the air resonator box at the
Throttle Body and pull the cable off the routing clip above the dash panel. Carefully pull the housing containing the cable from the dash panel into the engine compartment. At maximum rpm, take out the throttle cable pin from the throttle body bellcrank. After pressing the release tab with a pick or screwdriver, you can pull the plastic mount towards the rear of the car to take out the throttle cable. To install, insert the plastic mount end of the accelerator cable into the throttle body bracket until the release tab is across from the hole in the bracket. As you hold the throttle wide open, slip the throttle cable pin into the throttle body bellcrank. Insert the rubber grommet through the hole in the dash, then pull the throttle cable core wire through the hole at the top of the pedal from within the car. Fit the retainer into the pedal arm opening, snap it into place, insert the air resonator back into the throttle body and before starting, move the accelerator to make sure it's not sticking.
