Before installing, position both front wheels straight ahead and the turn signal switch in its neutral spot. Don't drive the steering wheel directly onto the shaft of the steering column. Line up the baby's belly band on the steering column and take the wheel from the wide spline and seal it to the shaft, so the
Clock Spring lines up behind the wheel. Put in the steering wheel retaining bolt (2) and tighten it to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.) to have the steering wheel hold firmly on its shaft. Attach the speed control screw (3) after removing the puller and then reconnect the wiring connector (2) at the Clock Spring. Ensure you install
Air Bag (3) before connecting anything from the battery to the negative terminal (that is, before completing the air bag System Test). After finishing the air bag System Test, connect the battery and check vehicle and system functions.
