How to Replace the Fuel Pressure Regulator Mounted Above the Rear Axle on Jeep Grand Cherokee?

Combining the Fuel Filter and Fuel Pressure Regulator, the system is located up in the vehicle on both sides, close to the rear axle and the front of the fuel tank. Start by releasing all gasoline pressure and then take out the negative battery cable from the battery. Lift the car and wipe the space around the three filter/regulator connections. Remove the fuel line, the fuel return line and the fuel pressure line from the filter/regulator. Unscrew the two mounting bolts and remove the filter/regulator from the site. Prior to installation, wipe off any dirt and germs from the fittings and then place the O-ring into the fuel return of the filter/regulator. Spread a small amount of clean engine oil over the O-rings, place the filter/regulator inside the body and screw in the two bolts until they reach 3 Nm (30 in. lbs.) torque. Join all three fittings and link the negative wire from the battery to its terminal. Turn on the engine and look for any leaks under the car.
