How to adjust the headlights and fog lights on Jeep Grand Cherokee?

For vertical movement there is an adjusting screw on each of the headlight but for the horizontal movement there is no screw provided. To align the headlights you are going to need an open space where there is no other object in the field of vision and the floor of the space is flat. Start from taping the standard width vertical along the wall at the position of the car's centerline and headlamp centerlines. Next, set a horizontal tape line that represents the center of the headlights, which may be done much easier if the vehicle is parked at a distance of several inches. Park at least 25 feet away from the wall, the car has to be straight, never with the full tank of gas and no heavy load. The high-intensity zone should be vertically centralised and the exact centre about 3 inches below the horizontal line. This may not require much adjustment and many people correct the problem themselves but ideally, it is recommended that one should enlist the services of a mechanic to adjust the headlights at the soonest possible time. For cars that have foglights as options, position the car 25 ft from the wall and draw a line parallel to the ground and the foglights on the car, another one four inches below the parallel line. Utilising the adjusting screw on each fog light, tilt the beam on the wall until the the top of the fog light beam aligns with the lower line, then do the same to the other.
