How to Remove and Install Front Bushings from a Leaf Spring Shackle on Jeep Cherokee?

Before taking out the front bushings, bend the tabs on the spring/shackle eye downward. Use the right tool to help remove the original bushing. Take your tools and tighten up the nut on the socket wrench end while pulling out the bushing. Line up the bushing installation tools in place and put the bushing against the spring/shackle. Secure the nut at the socket wrench end of the rod until the bushing is tight enough to be centered and its ends fit right against or slightly within the eye's end surfaces.
