How to Service a Sway Bar Link on Jeep Grand Cherokee?

The first step is to raise and stabilize the vehicle and then take off the tire and wheel assembly. After that, get rid of the upper link bolt/nut (1&2) and the lower link bolt (6) to take out the sway bar link (3). First, attach the sway bar link (3) to the vehicle, next add the lower link bolt (6) and tighten it to 115 Nm (85 ft. lbs.). After that, connect the upper link bolt/nut to the frame (1&2) and give it a tightening torque of 108 Nm (80 ft. lbs.). When finished, reattach the tire and wheel to the car and lower the whole vehicle.

How to Service and Repair a Sway Bar Link on Jeep Wrangler?

Before repairing or servicing a front sway bar link, you must lift and support the vehicle. After that, remove link nut 1 from the upper sway bar on the left side and next remove signal bolt 4 from the axle. Next, get the right upper sway bar link nut 2 out of the sway bar and the right lower sway bar bolt 4 away from the axle. In the end, cut out link 1 from the sway bar.
