  Before servicing the heater core, open the HVAC housing assembly and move it onto a workbench. First, take out the left side front floor duct. Should the foam seal on the flange be damaged or deformed, it needs to be replaced. Then, get rid of the foam seal from the flange located on the front outer wall of the housing. After that, use the screwdriver to retrieve the screw on the front of the unit and remove the flange. After finishing, unscrew the bracket securing the heater core tubes to the left of the air distribution housing. Since we are working with RHD models, make sure to remove the air distribution housing outside the HVAC housing. Pull gently on the heater core which is on the driver's side of the air distribution housing.

  Put the heater core into place on the left side inside the air distribution housing. Put the air distribution housing onto the HVAC housing for right-hand drive vehicles. Hold the heater core pipes in position using the retaining bracket and screw, turning the screw gently until it reaches 1.2 Nm (10 in. lbs.). Then, set up the flange that holds the heater core tubes to the front part of the HVAC housing and secure it using the screw, tightening it to 1.2 Nm (10 in. lbs.). Should the foam seal on the flange become deformed or broken, it is not safe and needs to be replaced. Slide the foam seal onto the flange and then fit the left side front floor duct into place. If you're getting a new heater core, flush the cooling system. Afterward, put on the HVAC housing assembly.
