  Adjusting the refrigerant oil when working with the A/C system reduces possible damage to the A/C system and the compressor. A failed A/C compressor must be replaced by changing the accumulator before further damage occurs. When you replace a number of A/C components, use the chart to tell you how much oil needs to be added. Screw the lower suction piping from the air conditioner (8) to the outlet of the accumulator tube (9) and place the retaining nut (7) which must be tightened to 5 Nm (44 in. lbs.). Secure the front of the right front wheel house splash shield (3) to body (4) using push-pin retainers (1) and the supplied screws (2). Attach the left front wheel, lower the vehicle and reconnect the cars negative Battery Cable. Do not use the engine while there is a vacuum pump on or while the A/C system is under vacuum, since the compressor may be damaged. Pull out the refrigerant from the system and if you're replacing the air conditioning accumulator, also put in 30 milliliters (1.0 fluid ounce) of refrigerant oil.
