Ensure the car is straight ahead, then take off the negative
Battery Cable to keep the air bag system from activating. Make sure that the capacitor has discharged for two minutes before starting again. With part number 3, take out the driver's air bag and disconnect part number 2 at the
Clock Spring. Make sure to hold the steering wheel securely as you remove the bolt attached to the steering column shaft with number 4 without bumping or hammering. Attach a wheel puller with hooked legs to the steering wheel on top of the steering shaft, so that the Clock Spring rotor doesn't move or turn off-center. If the Clock Spring seems off-center, perform the centering procedure before you install the steering wheel. Finish by using the wheel puller to remove the wheel from the shaft splines as you keep the steering wheel straight.
