Take the travel restrictor off of the inner tie rod at this step. Remove the inner tie rod using the right tool at the hex. Should the inner tie rod not budge despite the recommended tools, skip the hammer and the heat, because using them may spoil the steering gear and force you to replace it completely. Next, take off the inner tie rod from the steering gear.
