Before installing the timing cover, clean and oil-free the contact part of every location where the sealing material will be filled and use Mopar(R) engine sealant RTV (or equal) to block where the lid touches the head, frame and corners of the cylinder and
Oil Pan, also adding a 2 mm bead on both surfaces. Bend the cover of the timing chain upwards from below the car and secure with the upper retaining bolts by tightening M8 bolts to 26 Nm and M6 bolts to 9 Nm. The accessory drive
Belt Tensioner goes in next, with the bolt tightened to 24 Nm and then install the right engine mount bracket, tightening its bolts to 50 Nm. Following this, set the accessory
Drive Belt upper idler pulley in place and secure it with a 48 Nm bolt, continue with the engine mount adapter and secure all bolts to 68 Nm and lastly secure the engine mount with through bolt at a force of 88 Nm. Take off the jack, raise the vehicle and connect on the oil pan to timing chain cover lower mount bolts. Then, tighten the M6 bolts to 9 Nm. Attach the water pump pulley and turn each bolt to the required torque of 9 Nm, after which attach the crankshaft damper. After adding the accessory drive belt lower idler pulley, turn the bolt 48 Nm and follow by mounting the lower A/C compressor bracket with bolts tightened to 24 Nm and the A/C compressor with bolts done to 25 Nm. Set in place the lower splash shield, lower the entire chassis and place the cylinder head cover and
Ignition Coils. Install the
Power Steering Pump, pass the three bolts bent end first through the pulley holes and tighten to 26 Nm. Connect the power steering hose hold down, fit the accessory drive belt, attach the power steering pump reservoir holding it with a 12 Nm mounting screw, fit the windshield
Washer Reservoir and attach the coolant recovery reservoir with 4 Nm bolts. First, install the clean air hose and air cleaner housing, then put on the air cleaner housing inlet. Next, link the negative battery cable, run the engine until it reaches the correct operating temperature, inspect and correct the oil system and finally fit the engine cover.
