Disconnect the car's negative battery cable before taking out and putting in a new exhaust manifold. After that, take off the fresh air hose. Take off both sets of spark plug wires that connect to the left side of the engine and put the heat shield protection bolts a side. After that, take out the bolts securing the exhaust to the manifold and remove the left oxygen sensing wires. Next, take out the bolts joining the exhaust manifold with the cylinder head and then remove the manifold.

Place the exhaust manifold over the cylinder head and screw in the bolts to the center runner (cylinder # 3), ensuring they are tightened to 2.8 Nm (25 in. lbs.) first. After that, put on the remaining manifold attaching bolts and tighten each bolt up to 23 Nm (200 in. lbs.). Put one end of the oxygen sensors into the engine, then attach the primary side of the spark plug wires to the spark plugs. Followingly, put the IAC, TPS and EVAP hose onto the throttle body. Join the exhaust pipe to the exhaust manifold, fit the air cleaner housing and hose (1) and then attach the battery negative cable.
