2000 Chrysler LHS A/C Hose Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Replace an A/C Hose in an HVAC System for Suction Hose on 2000 Chrysler LHS?
A: The first step in replacing the A/C suction hose/line is to get rid of the refrigerant in the system using a refrigerant recovery machine. Following that, remove the M13 nut at the expansion valve that is keeping the suction line in place and remember to seal off all lines and the expansion valve tubes that aren't changed. After that, take out the engine air inlet tube and the air distribution duct to reach the compressor lines. Loose the bolt at the compressor using a 6 mm allen wrench and pull the other end of the line up and out of your car from under the rear suspension. While installing, do the opposite of how you removed the TXV and compressor and tighten their connections to 23 N.m (17 ft. lbs.).
