2000 Chrysler LHS Ambient Temperature Sensor Parts and Q&A
Q: How Does the Ambient Temperature Sensor Enhance Functionality and Serviceability on 2000 Chrysler LHS?
A: A sensor inside the right front bumper beam sends the outdoor ambient temperature to the ATC system, required to control blower settings, temperature differences, evaporator temperatures and modes. If the sensor becomes faulty, you should replace it; it is fitted on all LH models, with or without ATC hardware. Find out how to test the ambient temperature sensor by consulting the proper LH Body Diagnostics. Before you remove the sensor, undo the mounting screw and take the wiring connector off. After purchasing, install your fan by simply reversing the previous steps for removal.
