2000 Dodge Dakota Idle Control Valve Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How Can the Idle Control Valve Be Serviced and Reinstalled on the Throttle Body on 2000 Dodge Dakota?
A: You should start by pulling off the air duct at the throttle body and taking off the IAC motor's connector before you begin to service the IAC motor. After that, take out the two bolts that hold the IAC motor to the throttle body. Begin by putting the IAC motor onto the throttle body, fasten it with the two bolts and tighten them until you reach 7 Nm. Insert the air duct into the throttle body and secure them together electrically.
