How to Change an Air Filter on 2000 Dodge Dakota?

The first step to replace the air filter is to take up the spring clips holding the housing cover. After that, remove the housing cover from the locating tabs found on the housing. Insert a piece of cardboard into the air cleaner area, close the hood and push the air cleaner out from above. First, place the new air filter into the housing, set the housing cover into the locating tabs and finally use a screwdriver to lift the spring clips and lock the cover in place.
