2000 Dodge Durango Brake Master Cylinder Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Properly Bleed a Brake Master Cylinder Before Installation on 2000 Dodge Durango?
A: It is required to bleed a new brake master cylinder before installing it. Needed tools are bleed tubes and a wood dowel for pushing the pistons and bleed tubes that can be made from brake line. Install the brake master cylinder in a vise and put the two bleed tubes into the ports on the cylinder; with each tube, pop the end into the reservoir. After filling, activate the pistons to allow the spring to return them, until no air bubbles remain in the oil you're bleeding out.
