You should prevent accidental inflation of the air bag by first removing the negative cable from the battery and then waiting two minutes to allow the capacitor to empty. After that, pull out the air bag module, undo the screws securing the switch to the steering wheel and remove the switch. Unconnect the electrical connector located next to the switch. For the installation, insert the electrical wires into the switch, mount it and secure it by tightening the screws to 1.5 Nm away from the entire screw (14 in-lbs.). After that, install the air bag module and attach the negative battery cable again.
