How to Properly Service and Install a Fuel Injector on 2000 Dodge Durango?

Before you start fuel injector maintenance, you need to lower the pressure inside the fuel system, because it continues to have pressure even when the engine is done running. To replace one or more fuel injectors, take off the air cleaner first and after that get rid of the fuel injector rail. After that, unhook the injectors from the fuel rail by removing the clips and then take out each injector from its place. Lightly smear each fuel injector O-ring with oil to help the fuel rail go in place. Attach the injectors on the rail with their clips, then put the rail back into its place. Afterward, place the air cleaner back in, start the engine and see whether there are any leaks.
