How to Maintain a Parking Brake Cable on 2000 Dodge Durango?

Raise the vehicle, hold it securely, loosen the nut at the cable adjuster and remove the parking brake cable from the mounting point at the body. When the support comes off, drop the vehicle and get rid of the left kick panel. Lift the left front part of the floor covering to the back and take away the cable grommet from the car floor. Use the parking brake pedal, then take out the cable by pulling it from the hole in the floor pan and the vehicle. To install, push the front cable up through the floor and then attach the grommet to it. After that, place the cable retainer into the hole located at the bottom of the bracket and place the cable end inside the retainer. Install the kick panel, raise the vehicle once more and feed the cable from the body mount under the car. Bind the cable to the tensioner, carry out the parking brake adjustment method and lastly detach the support and lower your car.
