How to Service and Repair a Front Parking Brake Cable on 2001 Dodge Durango?

First, park the vehicle on jack stands and unscrew the cable's adjustment nut. After that, take hold of the cable and run it through the mount. Without the support, lower the automobile and remove the left kick panel. Bring the left front edge of the floor covering to the rear and pull out the cable grommet from the floor pan. To take out the cable, pull the parking brake pedal, connect it to the stop brake pedal assembly and remove the cable through the floor pan. Push the front cable into the floor pan and then insert the grommet. Then, attach the cable retainer through the bottom opening of the assembly bracket and link up the cable at that point. Put the kick panel in place, raise the car again and place the cable through the panel's body mount. Connect the tensioner cable, follow the parking brake adjustment steps and then remove the support and lower the vehicle.
