How to Service and Repair a Dimmer Switch on 2000 Dodge Neon?

First, remove the negative battery cable to service and repair your combination switch. After that, take off the upper and lower steering column shrouds. Take the posi-lock harness connectors at the back of the multi-function switch and remove the screws used to hold the switch. When installing a new multi-function switch, attached the combination flasher and windshield wiper/washer controls to it. To install, reverse the previous steps, make sure the multi-function switch screws tighten to 3 Nm (27 in. lbs.) and the steering column shroud screws tighten to 2 Nm (18 in. lbs.) torque.
