To service the combination switch, you should first detach the negative
Battery Cable. Take off both shrouds around the steering wheel, then cut off the two posi-lock harness connector wires from behind the multi-function switch. Unscrew the mounting screws of the multi-function switch; when changing the switch, move the flasher and the wiper/washer controller over to the new switch. The wiper/washer switch and the combination flasher go into the new multi-function switch, then mount the switch using the screws and tighten everything to 3 Nm (27 in. lbs.) torque. Join the posi-lock harness connectors at the back of the multi-function switch, put both upper and lower steering column shrouds back and then reattach the battery negative cable.
