How to Service Fuel Injectors in a Constant Pressure Fuel System on 2000 Dodge Ram 2500?

Fuel pressure in the fuel system remains constant at all times, so you should release the pressure before handling the fuel injectors. For this, proceed with the Fuel System Pressure Release Procedure. Before anything else, you have to remove the air cleaner assembly and then the fuel injector rail assembly to remove a fuel injector. Afterward, take out any rubber clips that are keeping the injector(s) on the fuel rail and remove them from the rail. To help during installation, oil each fuel injector O-ring with a little engine oil. Secure the fuel injectors and the injector clip(s) onto the fuel rail and then put the fuel rail back in place and connect the air cleaner. After that, turn on the car and inspect the system for any leaks.
