2000 Dodge Ram 3500 Blend Door Actuator Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Replace a Blend Door Actuator on 2000 Dodge Ram 3500?
A: Before replacing the blend air door actuator, turn off and disconnect the negative battery cable. Remove the instrument panel from your car next and then pull out the heater-A/C housing. Unplug the wire from the servo motor and unscrew both bolts that secure the motor to the housing before removing the blend air door motor. Before fitting the new blend air door motor, check that the door is not binding. Once the gears are replaced, put the motor back in, inserting the parts reversely and tighten the screws to 2.2 Nm (20 in. lbs.). Be cautious when trying any procedure on vehicles equipped with air bags, so you do not risk accidental inflation and harm.
