How to Service and Repair a Vehicle Speed Sensor on 2000 Dodge Stratus?

Before fixing the Vehicle Speed Sensor, lift the car up on a hoist. Before disconnecting the wiring to the speed sensor, make sure you've cleaned the surroundings of the sensor so that no dirt can enter the transaxle after removal. Following that, get the retaining bolt for the speed sensor and take the sensor out of the transaxle without making the sensor drive gear fall into the assembly. Once that's done, take out the drive gear from the speed sensor. For installation, do the process in reverse and ensure the vehicle's speedometer works as it should.
