2000 Dodge Viper A/C Hose Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Replace an A/C Hose in an HVAC System for Suction Hose on 2000 Dodge Viper?
A: You should begin by linking a recovery machine to the service ports and lowering the A/C refrigerant to replace the A/C suction hose/line. Following that, take the blower motor out of the car. Loosen and remove both liquid and suction line compression fittings from the evaporator after the recovery machine is disconnected. Place caps on the open fittings so moisture and dirt does not enter them. Disconnect the filter drier liquid line with service port and take out the filter drier from where it is mounted. Before lifting the car, disconnect the suction line bolt from the A/C compressor and remove the two further strap linked screws. Open the closed suction valve at the bottom of the vehicle. Bring the new suction line up through the vehicle from the bottom, apply the mounting straps and attach the screws. Attach the suction line to the A/C compressor and tighten the bolt between 20 and 30 Nm (about 15 to 22 ft. lbs.). Reduce the ride height, install the filter drier where it should be and screw in the bolts. Replace the liquid line at the filter drier, attach both A/C lines to the evaporator, tighten them and tighten the suction line at the evaporator to between 30 and 35 Nm (22 to 26 ft. lbs.) torque. Once you have hooked up the recovery machine and run the A/C system evacuation, replace the blower motor and then charge the system to meet the underhood specifications.
