How to Maintain the Headlight Switch on 2000 Jeep Cherokee?

To service the headlamp switch, the battery negative cable must be disconnected and the dimmer resistor allowed to cool. Remove the knee blocker, pull the control knob to ON and access the switch. Disconnect the wire harness, take off the switch and put it back by following the opposite steps.
