  A: The first step in servicing the Body Control Module is to disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable. Pull the fuse cover from the bottom of the junction block and body control module unit. Go underneath the instrument panel and around the junction block to unplug the two instrument panel wire harness connectors from their places in the body control module. Pull the body control module straight backward, unplugging its integral connector from the junction block as you work and take it out under the instrument panel after removing four Torx screws. Install the body control module in its designed location on the junction block and connect the terminal pins within the integral connector to the integral connector receptacle. Clamp the body control module and junction block securely and evenly so that the integral connector is completely in place. Apply torque of 2.2 Nm (20 in. lbs.) to the four screws attaching the body control module to the junction block. Join the two instrument panel wire harness connectors to the body control module connectors, add the instrument panel fuse cover and lastly attach the battery negative cable.
