How to Remove and Install Engine Mounts on 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

Each side of the engine is supported by a resilient rubber front engine mount. Before removing the engine mount, cut the negative battery cable, lift the car and support the engine. After that, take out the insulator assembly-to-lower front sill bolts, lift the engine and remove the through bolt nut and through bolt. If you need to, take the engine bracket off the block. During installation, put the engine bracket onto the block and screw it back on with a torque of 61 Nm (45 ft. lbs.). After that, fit the insulator assembly onto the lower front sill and attach it with the same torque as you used before. Once the engine bracket and insulator assembly are in, put in the through bolt and nut and tighten the nut to a torque of 61 Nm (45 ft. lbs.). After that, lift the vehicle again, take off the engine support and restore the negative cable connection to the battery.
