A fuel pump module inside the fuel tank has the fuel level sensor, also known as fuel gauge sending unit. In order to eliminate it, remove the fuel tank, fuel pump module, disconnect the sensor, and remove it. To install, reconnect the electrical connector and put the sensor back.
