2000 Jeep Wrangler Control Arm Bushing Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair a Control Arm Bushing on 2000 Jeep Wrangler?
A: Out of the upper suspension arm, take it off the axle as your first step. On a 4x2, use Spacer 7932-3 at the front axle bushing and at the right side of a 4x4, place the part at the front axle bushing, as well. After that, hold Receiver 7932-1 over the flanged part of the bushing, then insert Remover/Install 7932-2 so its small side presses against the other end of the bushing. Insert the remover and bolt 7604 into the bushing, then add receiver 7304 and lock it with Long Nut 7603 to lead the bushing out. After taking out the nut, bolt, receiver, remover and bushing, check that Spacer 7932-3 stays put because it is required for bushing installation on 4x2 and right 4x4 side registrations. During installation, put your Receiver 7932-1 on the opposite end of the axle bracket. With the large end of your Remover/Install 7932-2 facing the bushing, insert the new bushing up against the axle bracket. Tracker in through the receiver, bushing and installer before installing Long Nut 7603 and tightening it to pull the bushing into the axle bracket. Furthermore, take out the tools and reinstall the top part of the suspension arm.
