  A: Begins by uncovering the engine or throttle control for service and repair of the throttle cable and linkage. From the engine area, pull the cable from the throttle body lever near the engine. Press down on the tabs holding the cable, then remove the cable from the bracket. Inside the vehicle, put your hand behind the top of the pedal shaft and push the retainer closer to the back, squeezing the retainer ears together on the dash side if that helps. Take the cable up into the hole on the top of the pedal shaft and remove the clip from the grommet in front of the dash. Pull the cabling and grommet attached to the throttle assembly from the dashboard through the hole in the engine panel. Before installing, pop the cable end fitting and grommet through the dash panel from the engine side then clip the throttle end into place. Position the throttle cable in the right direction and secure the housing for the cable at the throttle body end into the bracket on the engine. Insert the cable into the slot above the pedal shaft, squeeze the pedal lever down and push forward on the retainer clip so it clips into place on the pedal lever. Inside the engine compartment, move the throttle lever all the way forward to the widest point and attach the cable clasp.
