2001 Chrysler Sebring Thermostat Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Maintain Your Thermostat on 2001 Chrysler Sebring?
A: Before servicing the thermostat, lower the cooling fluid level to the thermostat or lower and unplug the coolant outlet hoses. Use the wrench to remove every bolt that fixes the coolant outlet connector and remove both the connector and thermostat. For the installation, first clean the areas where the thermostat will seal and fit the new assembly into the coolant outlet, aligning the air bleed and notch on the connector. Keep the coolant outlet connector attached onto the thermostat housing and tighten the bolts to 12.5 Nm (110 inch lbs.). First, reattach the hoses to the outlet at the coolant reservoir and next add more coolant to fill the cooling system.
