• Q: How to Service and Repair a Blend Door Actuator Safely on 2001 Chrysler Voyager?

  A: Shut off the air bag system first by disconnecting and isolating the battery negative cable, wait two minutes for the capacitor to drain and then remove the air door actuator/motor. Take out the silencer first from the area beneath the driver side end of the instrument panel. Remove the connector from the mode door actuator, then unwind two metallic screws that hold the actuator in place and take out the actuator. While installing, line up the splines on the actuator output shaft with the mode door linkage before fixing the new actuator onto the heater/AC housing. Ensure the actuator is held with the two screws and tighten them to 2 Nm (17 in. lbs.); then, connect the wire harness connector to your HVAC system. Put the silencer back to its place under the driver side end of the instrument panel, connect the battery negative cable and do the heater-A/C control calibration.
