2001 Dodge Caravan ABS Control Module Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair the ABS Control Module for Antilock Brakes on 2001 Dodge Caravan?
A: First, take out the Integrated Control Unit (ICU) and then disconnect the wiring harness that connects the pump/motor to the Controller Antilock Brake (CAB) to service and repair the Hydraulic Control Assembly for Antilock Brakes. After that, take off the 4 bolts holding the CAB to the HCU and lift the CAB away from the HCU. To put together the CAB, mount it on the HCU and make sure it's secure by using the 4 bolts and tightening them to 2 Nm (17 inch lbs.). Replace the pump/motor wiring harness on the CAB, insert the ICU into the vehicle and bleed the base and ABS hydraulic systems.
