How to Remove and Install a Battery Sensor on 2001 Dodge Dakota?

The battery temperature sensor can be removed by first lifting the battery from the tray and unscrewing it. When the battery is removed, separate the sensor pigtail harness from the engine wire harness which attaches to the car next to the electrical connector. Now, prise the sensor straight out of its slot in the battery tray. Put the pigtail harness over the hole in the top of the battery tray and push the sensor into that same hole. Finally, hook up the pigtail harness and install the battery as it was before.
