2001 Dodge Durango MAP Sensor Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Remove and Install a MAP Sensor on the Throttle Body on 2001 Dodge Durango?
A: On the front of the throttle body, the MAP sensor is attached by means of an L-shaped rubber piece. Disconnect the connection at the bottom of the throttle body, then remove each of the two mounting bolts for the sensor. Pull the rubber L-shaped vacuum fitting from both the MAP sensor and the throttle body as you put the MAP sensor aside. First, fit the rubber L-shape to the MAP sensor, place the sensor over the throttle body and push the rubber fitting over the throttle body vacuum nipple. After that, tighten the sensor's mounting bolts to 3 Nm (25 In. lbs.) torque. After that, connect the air duct back to the throttle body.
