2000 Dodge Durango MAP Sensor Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Remove and Install a MAP Sensor on the Throttle Body on 2000 Dodge Durango?
A: The MAP sensor sits on the front of the throttle body and is joined to it through an L-shaped rubber fitting. Remove the air duct from the throttle body first, then unscrew the two mounting bolts on the MAP sensor. While removing the MAP sensor, move the L-shaped rubber vacuum bump stop off the throttle body and take the entire bump stop off the sensor. For installation, connect the rubber fitting to the MAP sensor and position and hold the sensor in place against the throttle body. While keeping the rubber fitting over the throttle body vacuum nipple, tighten the bolts to 3 Nm (25 in. lbs.). The last step is to install the air duct at the throttle body.
