  A: The fuel level sensor should be serviced and repaired after the fuel pump module is removed. Press down the retaining tab to remove the fuel pump/level sensor connector from the bottom of the fuel pump module electrical connector. Get out the blue locking wedge and then carefully insert the screwdriver to lift the finger and pop the terminal out of the connector. After pushing the level sensor signal and ground terminals out of the connector, slide the level sensor wires into the module and pull the level sensor from its channel within the module. During installation, pass the end of the level sensor wires into the bottom of the module and neatly wrap them inside the groove on the rear of the sensor. After putting the wires into the guide ridges, raise the sensor up into its groove and let it snap into place with the tab at the rear fit into its place. Hold the wires from the level sensor and guide them through the connector. After that, push the connector in, making sure the signal and ground wires are in their place. After that, lock the wedge into place on the connector, push up on the connector and attach the fuel pump module to its housing.
