How to Service an HVAC Pressure Switch on 2001 Dodge Stratus?

Start by disconnecting the wire harness connector connected to the HVAC pressure switch to work on the Refrigerant Pressure Sensor / Switch. To take out the switch, use a 14 mm open-end wrench and although pressure can build up, it should not lead you to depurge the refrigerant system. An O-ring should be replaced when the HVAC pressure switch is serviced, so always choose the ring intended for this vehicle. After that, screw the HVAC pressure switch onto the discharge line and tighten it to 6 Nm (50 in. lbs.) and finally attach the wire connector to the switch.
